Membership in the coalition is open to all synagogues in Southern California
Benefits of membership include:
- Participation in the JWW Synagogue Advisory Council
- Access to JWW newsletters, action alerts and synagogue updates
- Access to JWW staff support for programmatic and educational project coordination
- Participation in JWW committees and task forces such as: Speakers Bureau, Women's Committee, Community Action and Response Committee
- Access to all Jewish World Watch materials
Member synagogues agree to:
- Pay a membership fee to JWW. Membership fees are determined based upon congregation size, with the minimum and maximum required contribution of $500 and $1,500 respectively. Within those limits, required dues are $1 for each family/unit member of the synagogue;
- Commit to furthering the mission of JWW through active engagement of its congregation;
- Commit to the operating principles of JWW; and
- Commit to attend Synagogue Advisory Committee meetings.
Each member of the JWW Coalition should designate up to two representatives to attend quarterly Synagogue Advisory Committee meetings, one of whom should be a synagogue Rabbi. Each member of the Coalition has only one vote on the Synagogue Advisory Committee. |
