Thank you to the more than 700 JWW activists that joined us last night for Global Soul, honoring Janice Kamenir-Reznik! The evening was incredibly powerful and engaging. Music, great food and an incredible spirit of activism created an amazing evening. Guests had the opportunity to hear storytellers, watch incredible performances of music and theater and take action to help end the crises in Sudan and Congo.

Many of our guests participated in a beautiful community art project by Doni Silver Simons, writing their blessings and prayers for Sudan and Congo on fabric strips to be inserted into the art piece. All of us were particularly moved when Pastor Kasereka Kasomo, the Congolese pastor of the African Christian Community Church of Southern California and Janice joined Doni to insert fabric strips written and drawn on by Congolese women from the HEAL Africa hospital, one of JWW’s on-the-ground partners.

The evening honored our Co-Founder and President, Janice Kamenir-Reznik – and Janice, we’d like to honor you too. All of us at JWW feel so blessed to be a part of this movement of faith in action, the Jewish response to genocide. We are daily reminded of the important impact of our work – and even as we celebrate all of our accomplishments and your leadership, there is so much more to do. We know we are stronger for having you with us, engaging, motivating and leading us in this fight.
Yasher Ko’ach, Janice – and thank you all for joining us!
