Thank you to the hundreds of JWW activists and theater-goers that joined JWW on Tuesday, October 5 for the Geffen Playhouse’s production of RUINED, a powerful portrayal of the triumph of the human spirit in war-torn Congo. JWW activists were treated to a special VIP dinner honoring RUINED’s Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage with JWW’s fourth annual iWitness Award. The JWW iWitness award is presented to Ms. Nottage for her outstanding work and activism related to the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Audience members joined the cast, Ms. Nottage, JWW Co-Founder and President Janice Kamenir-Reznik and Executive Director Tzivia Schwartz Getzug for a fascinating Talk-Back following the performance.
