Women of Iridimi
Women and girls who have fled the genocide in Darfur, Sudan are particularly vulnerable to rape and attack while performing the critical task of collecting firewood for cooking. Jewish World Watch is committed to protecting these refugees by reducing the frequency of these heinous crimes and enabling the women to remain within the relative safety of the camps by providing women with an alternative cooking option; the solar cooker. This is the story of the women in the Iridimi Refugee Camp.
