  Lesson Plans (designed by JWW)

We offer the following lessons, developed by Jewish World Watch:

  1. Lesson about Jewish Response to Catastrophe based on Jewish Texts. This is a one hour curriculum for students of all ages who study Bible and Talmudic texts.

Acrobat PDF Document Shiur - Reponses to Catastrophe (all ages)
  1. Lesson about Jewish Responsibility and Tikkun Olam. This curriculum works very well in informal educational settings and includes a variety of activities for students to engage in to facilitate understanding of global responsibility.

Acrobat PDF Document Jewish Responsiblity (grades 3+)
  1. Lesson about the actual situation in Darfur and the history of how the genocide started. This curriculum can be combined with any of the other curriculum.

Acrobat PDF Document Brief History (grades 4-9)
  1. Genocide/Tolerance Curriculum designed to be used in public schools as part of a tolerance unit. In this curriculum, the genocide in Darfur is the example of what happens when there is extreme intolerance. This is a 4 part curriculum, with each part being 30 minutes.

Acrobat PDF Document Genocide (grades 6-10)
