| Welcome to the 2nd Annual Walk for Darfur! |
Jewish World Watch is a coalition of synagogues working together to mobilize synagogues, their schools, their members and the community to combat genocide and other egregious violations of human rights around the world. Since its inception, the sole focus of JWW is the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, where more than 400,000 people have been killed and over two million have been displaced by attacks which have destroyed their villages.
In an effort to inform and mobilize the community to act on behalf of the people of Darfur, Jewish World Watch will hold its second WALK FOR DARFUR on the morning of June 1, 2008, in the San Fernando Valley. Last year, almost 400 individuals participated in the Walk, and this year we want at least 1,000 individuals to walk with us and demonstrate our community’s opposition to the genocide. Walk as a family, create a team at your school or synagogue or join one of the teams already registered.

The walk begins at the Jewish Federation Valley Alliance at 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills. Walk ends at Shadow Ranch Park, West Hills. We will walk on city streets surrounding the Valley Alliance.
